As I've already stated to a few people...
I just wrote two of the most entertaining and thought-provoking essays of my life. I probably failed the exam.

Rich White Men Want Us To Die

Hello everybody, it seems that Republicans are doing everything they can to help continue the growth of global warming. I don't know about you, but I sure can't wait until this generation of politicians just keels over and dies. We don't need a bunch of old motherfuckers who don't know shit about anything but how to gain and maintain power and self-interest.

HA HA HA

I'm in a state of mania today and all I can do is sit and laugh and embrace it. They were playing a reggae funk soul cover of "Gimme Shelter" and it was pretty terrible. If you have an internet you should look up Cho Seung-Hui's "manifesto," and perhaps you'll see how everybody is assuming the incorrect position about it. Look, it's wrong to take a life, but in the mind of a fucked up sociopath it's an acceptable trade-off for wading through a quagmire of shit and people and atoms that bump around with no beneficial end to anything. I'm sure such tragedies will happen again, and again, and again. People are murdered every day. You can't prevent hate and violence. Arresting, committing people, enforcing a farce called "homeland security" can't do it. You can't stop people from being human beings. We're all animals underneath. I want mine as much as he wants his and you want yours. And we are all capable of killing.

I just listened to the original version of Peter Gabriel's "Here Comes the Flood" on his first solo album. I'm pretty familiar with the highly minimal version on his "Shaking the Tree" greatest hits. That version is much better than the original. Too over-produced. Even Wikipedia and Peter Gabriel himself agree with me, but I'm not going to fish out the article right now.

I'm trying oh-so-desperately-hard to see Lou Reed at the Warhol Museum next month. (It's near the bottom of the page, 5/31.) If I can at least shake his hand and get a photograph, I will die a little less miserable.

BLAME THE VIDEO GAME

Fun fact for the day: video games will not cause people to shoot up their school. Bad parenting isn't an issue either; at least not in this case, as the perpetrator was an adult, college student. Listen--this guy was probably fucked up, emotionally stable, on the edge, stressed out. Maybe something pushed him over the edge and he just went apeshit. Happens all the time. Does the moniker "going postal" no longer hold any value? Sometimes I want to blow up a building. These things happen. So it goes. Your DOOMs and Grand Theft Autos have nothing to do with it. If anything, the grandiose reporting and finger-pointing are more to blame than a game.

Man, I just want to PYROBLAST somebody right now.

i haven't been channeling my efforts correctly, there has to be a better way to get these things from my cerebellum to the open state of society and civil civilization for others to hear and react and discuss. people who are artists should not think of themselves as artists trying to create art, they should be trying to solve a problem inside of their head. the art is a byproduct of the stuff inside them. i believe that the rest of them are salesmen and quite good at it seeing as how most of us will eat that shit up any day of the week so long as it is wrapped in a nice container. we call them ipods.

when the flood calls, you have no home, you have no walls.

the act is gone, there's only you and me.

It really bothers me that I have to sit and analyze literature when I'm too preoccupied with pondering the meaning of my existence. I think the details should be embraced, not prodded. Millions of hours are spent fabricating meaning in a truth that has existed whether we like it or not. I don't even know what that means.
There's something wrong with Apple's native OS X browser, Safari. Mainly, it's being a slow piece of shit. Websites are taking forever to load and it's eating into my system resources big time. Right now I'm using Firefox and it's running amazingly smooth. I think I read somewhere that the current version of Safari has a 10-second timeout on Javascripts, and the new version shipping with Leopard only has a 1 or 3-second timeout. I doubt this will really enhance the performance, though. I think they just need to focus on decreasing the suckiness factor.

And I Say No No No!

Yesterday I gave Wordpress a stern talkin'to. I'm not so sure that we're going to continue our relationship or not. It's just... it's just that... it doesn't even matter, because my writings are of no concern to anybody.

There was more text down here but I decided to remove it because it wasn't good.

Wordpress, why?

If I could, I would quit the internet, and live on a ranch.
