You can't post or read comments because wordpress fubar'd when I tried to upgrade from 1.5.1 to 1.5.2. Once I'm able to access FTP I'll work on fixing that. gbye.
For Tuesday:
- The Seventh Seal, Ingmar Bergman
- Shadows, John Cassavetes
- La Dolce Vita, Federico Fellini
That's why it looks horrible. It's a work in progress.
P.S. Wedding Crashers is the worst movie ever. I am a scientist and I know what I'm talking about.

I'm still alive, barely. I'm finishing a paper now and starting another. Sleep is the first thing I need and the last thing on my mind. Maybe I'll get starbucks. All I can say is, thank god for scanners.
oh yeah I've also decided to wait for my laptop because a) I read somewhere on the internets that they're going to release new updated Powerbooks and b) my dad sent me an angry email telling me he doesn't want to pay for one yet.
Grand Opening:
Apple Store, South Hills Village
10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 24
They're having a grand opening sweepstakes but unfortunately I'll be in Washington, DC that day.
I just found Radiohead's studio blog. Like every other music snob, I am a fan of Radiohead, but I never really followed them as a band because I think they're a bunch of lunatics. However it's kind of neat to read what Thomas Yorke has to tell the world.
i have absolutely no idea what i am talking about Thom
I took these pictures around campus last week and never got around to posting them. Now it seems that my FTP connection is working, so they're available for your stupid viewing enjoyment. The first few are taken from the office to which I report.
Magnolia meets American History X. Fun for the whole family. Lovely film. B+. Ludacris is my best friend.
I stole this theme from the internet. It's going to stay there until I get back to school so I can fix it. Peace out.

NINE INCH NAILS + QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE
So I'm watching Striking Distance on TNT, and it kind of makes me wish Pittsburgh didn't suck nowadays. It was exciting to see Bruce Willis speeding down the same streets I was walking today; Bruce Willis plowing through the Armstrong Tunnels that go underneath Duquesne; Bruce Willis racing across my favorite bridge, Smithfield Street; Bruce Willis living like a bum in a houseboat on the Monongahela. You could even point out Duquesne University in some scenes.
We need to get more filmmakers to shoot in Pittsburgh. Only then will people believe that the city still exists. I think the first step to accomplishing this would be to abolish KDKA.
And pretty soon this is going to be mine.

Yes, I've decided to get an iBook. Yes, I know they're inferior to the Powerbook. I will also save about $300 on it. I'd like to order it before the week ends so I can get a discount on a new iPod.

I DON'T CARE!
Hey guys, I got sick of looking at the black ugly goth layout, so I applied the default theme. It's even uglier, but that will probably impell me to actually do some work on it. I'll try and get around to it by Christmas. You've probably noticed that "http://killnick.com/" brings up a white background. I haven't been able to fix this because FTP access is virtually nonexistent on this network. It's in my "do-to" bin.
Here's a picture of me at work:
The site looks like a monkey's ass because I can't access my FTP account on this network for some reason. Sometimes it works but most of the time it times out. For a T3 line the connection sucks pretty hard.
she killed my best friend's dad.
Purell smells really good in large quantities, and I'm seriously contemplating a flu pill addiction. Even dayquil will do.
Yesterday was my first day at my part-time job. I am working for Duquesne's computer services department as a technical support person. This means I get to feel like I'm better than everybody else. I even have a brand-new nametag with magnetic strip! I'm getting paid the same as I did back at home, except here I do nothing. Yesterday I went down to the office (which is more like a dungeon complete with wall torches and a dragon) and practiced the art of "making myself look busy" (eating lunch and checking my email). Today I delivered four boxes full of paper halfway across campus. I almost lost the dolly along the way--it started to fall down the hill--but luckily one of Duquesne's Finest was there to stop it. After I made the delivery I sat around and studied Latin for a few hours. I liken the job to Ghostbusters 1: every time the phone rings I'm hoping Annie Potts will pick it up and tell us "WE GOT ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!" and we'll have to drive out and fix somebody's computer. Unfortunately nobody ever calls. I'm hoping that will change once we hire Ernie Hudson. Now I'm dead tired and it's time to sit and pretend I'm reading.
