music: April 2007 Archives

Hello. Our favorite person in the universe, Don Maue, has recorded and mixed a few tracks by Uke Skywalker and Tuba Fett. They sound pretty good, as far as a couple of tired and stressed out college students who play the tuba and the ukelele go. They plan to send a press kit to the Pittsburgh Arts Festival, featuring some of the photographs I've taken.

Everybody go listen to Year Zero on NIN's official site or their Myspace site. It's easily the best of 2007, and possibly the decade.

This is Year Zero

The new Nine Inch Nails album, Year Zero, has been made available on their website for listening. Please hear it. This album is virtually flawless. Just pretend that With Teeth never existed, and this is the apex of Trent Reznor's work and soul. The final track reminds me of a Peter Gabriel song. Maybe Biko or some shit. Anyway, from start to finish, it's just amazing. I can't even explain why. I've listened to it five times already. But maybe I'm biased. Not everybody will like it, but they probably have bad taste. Also, if you're interested in the story behind Year Zero, check out the NIN Wiki. May God have mercy on our dirty little hearts.

Uh oh! Year Zero promo leak

Seems that a high-quality leak of a promotional copy of Nine Inch Nails' Year Zero has been making its way around the internets tubes. Usually I don't condone musical piracy, but in this case you should all make an exception. (cough) demonoid (cough) piratebay (cough) torrentspy

[UPDATE] Well, it seems that the entire album is available for listening on the Year Zero website. It's fucking amazing. Listen.
