computers: September 2007 Archives
I'm drunk, but that won't stop me from watching Back to the Future III and playing World of Warcraft (ding 52).
I managed to nab a trial version of Office 2007, but for some reason Outlook 2007 will not install over my (pirated) copy of Office 2003. Father still uses Outlook 2003 on my computer so I'm afraid to uninstall and reinstall. But that's okay because Microsoft is giving away Outlook 2007 for $59 at theultimatesteal.com. I am probably going to buy it. I want Outlook 2007 so I can play with WebDAV (see previous post).
However, Outlook 2007 has shitty IMAP support--and I'm speaking from personal experience. Either way, it's definitely a steal. An ultimate steal. lolollllllllllllllllll In other news, I'm trying to learn C#. This is another computer programming language, almost exclusively designed by Microsoft but recognized as an international standard. The difficulty ranges somewhere between C++ and Visual Basic and is comparable to PHP.
I'M STILL DRUNK.AND I NEED TO TRAIN MY NEW DRUID SKILLS.
GOODNIGHT PEOPLE.
P.S. Wordpress's rich-text editor is sucking hard right now. Thank god for Windows Live Writer.
So I was trying to build an email message with tables and images in iWork Pages '08 (I had to use Pages because Apple Mail doesn't appear to support message composition with tables). The program locked up and crashed when I tried to drag an image into the table cell. Bravo, iWork, bravo. I thought Ellen Feiss told us these things weren't supposed to happen.
[11:03 PM] Now I have a sneaking suspicion that the latest dotfix of iTunes (I think 7.2.4) is making my Windows XP machine lock up entirely. It happened twice tonight while I was only playing music and nothing else. I can't even move my mouse cursor. gg.
