blogs: September 2007 Archives
I'm going to try Movable Type for a while because Wordpress is giving me issues that I don't feel like working around, and the people on their forum never want to answer my questions. So fuck 'em. We'll see what this guy is like.
[Update] I really like Movable Type, now that I've actually gotten it to install correctly. The only downside is that I have to republish my blog every time I make a major change, since it is Perl-based and not PHP-based. Oh well. Cheerio!
I've gotten a Feedburner link for this blog. It's here: http://feeds.feedburner.com/waxball
UPDATE YER GOOGLER READER AND BOOKMERKS.
My friend Emily is studying somewhere in Florence, Italy. To keep in touch with her friends and family she started keeping a blog, which I linked on the side of my page. It was like every other blog; she talked about her adventures and things she's been learning in Florence.
Apparently some fascist Italian bastards at her school caught word of this blog and today they threatened to expel her from the school and deport her to the United States. I guess the content on her blog violated some sort of confidentiality agreement, and the "freedom of speech" is slightly different in Italia. Fortunately she was pardoned of these heinous acts of sedition, but sadly her blog is no more. :(
This just goes to show you that America is awesome because Jesus loves our country. For instance, I can write volumes about the things I hate about Duquesne University and I wouldn't get expelled. Actually, I probably would if the wrong people found out. But at least I wouldn't get deported. Why? Because I'm a white, heterosexual, male American--a true American.
